FreshCurrent came to life on August 15, 2007 yet our roots are a bit deeper. We started business in the spring of 1997 as Summit Communication Design, a Denver-based web development firm. Summit was wildly successful, winning awards, being regularly named one of Denver's Top Web Development Firms by the Denver Business Journal, and winning clients nationwide.

When Summit was started by Mark Peesel and Steve Chitwood in 1997, websites were a new thing. Over the next 10 years their firm helped clients stay ahead in a rapidly changing environment and led the way for making the internet an integral part of their clients' business. Increasingly, Chitwood, Peesel, and the rest of the Summit team were called upon to strategically counsel their customers on effective marketing using the internet, and on integrating and developing new technologies to meet business objectives. As a response to this call, with Mark and Steve still at the helm, FreshCurrent was born.

It was evident that a change was needed. The new services being requested and the expertise gained were far greater than what was typically expected from a web design shop. Though design and development services remain integral for delivery, the focus has shifted to developing, implementing, and managing internet marketing campaigns for a national client base. Our Development group, now known as FreshCurrent Labs, continues to lead the market in innovative design, application development, and technology integration and management. Maintaining this expertise and the proven ability to deliver technical services is an asset few marketing agencies possess.

FreshCurrent leads the way in internet marketing with expertise in Search marketing, email marketing, CRM and database marketing, as well as the latest opportunities in Mobile Marketing and Word of Mouth Marketing such as viral, buzz, and social network marketing.
